KN Services offers a range of spill response training for industry. Clients include: power generation and water utility companies; construction and civil engineering companies; and, the whisky, forestry and manufacturing industries.

Courses are tailor-made to suit the needs of individual clients and are structured to provide a mixture of classroom and practical hands-on training. Trainees will develop: an awareness of high risk areas specific to their site; an understanding of the environmental impacts of a spill and it’s legal implications; how to deploy containment materials and absorbents successfully; and, understand the limitations of what can be achieved safely prior to further assistance being required.

Three basic courses are offered.

Toolbox Talk – an introductory 30 minute talk and demonstration showing site staff the basics on approaching a minor spill and how best to deploy absorbents held in a site spill kit to contain it.

Half Day Seminar – suitable for all levels of staff, comprising a mix of classroom and on-site sessions and covering oil spill characteristics, health & safety considerations, risk identification and hands-on practical training.
